The swimming championships with a difference! Surf Life Saving GB invites all swimmers to use all their skills in our Lifesaving Pool Championships (pool rescue events) at Cardiff International Pool.  Events include 50m, 100m, 200m Obstacle race - swimming under 2 gates and manikin races includes swimming with and without swim fins.  All races are run under International Life Saving rules. Freddie Hedger from Woolacombe Surf Life Saving Club and Barnstaple Swimming Club is the 16yrs British record holder for the Obstacle, Super Lifesaver and the Rescue Medley.  Freddie said “competing at the Lifesaving Pool Championships it adds variety to my swimming and helps with my fitness through the winter.  This year I move up to the 19yrs age group and I will be looking for one of the top three positions in my events and producing faster times than last year”. 




The Life Saving Pool Championships 2010 for our Senior and Master competitors will be held at Cardiff International Pool on 13th and 14th March 2010
