I would like to invite you to the Celtic Challenge Cup 2012 being held on 22nd September at Perranporth beach, kindly hosted by Surf Life Saving Cornwall.

Held in Ireland for the first few years before returning home to Wales for a further 3 years this year this prestigious and challenging event is being taken to Cornwall. It brings together competitors from across the Celtic waters including Wales, Scotland, Ireland, Cornwall, France and other European Countries. We hope that the 2012 event will be bigger and better than previous years bringing in hundreds of competitors from across the UK and Europe. 

Teams battle it out in the surf and on the sand, putting their surf life saving, team and physical skills to the test. An evening presentation with entertainment follows with a chance for all participating teams to come together for a dinner at a local venue.

The event is scheduled to be run on Saturday 22nd September on Perranporth Beach. The youth and seniors will compete on the same day with Individual and Team events following the same programme as the 2011 event.At this stage we would like to get an idea of teams interest so please let me know if you are interested in sending a team to complete in what is sure to be a highly exciting and memorable event.
